Philosophy Statement In general terms, I believe librarianship is the duty to provide equal access, guidance, and education regarding information. In more specific terms as a school librarian, I believe it is also the duty to foster student learning success and prepare students for success beyond school in the 21st century through collaborative efforts and alignment with school, district, and community goals. Additionally, I believe I hold the responsibility of cultivating life-long readers and effective users of information, with the idea that all people are readers; it is just a matter of connecting them with the right material.
